TOTAL CONSECRATION -- DAY 31 OF 33 / by Joe Castorino

Hi, everyone!

If we haven't already done so, it's time for us to start thinking about where and when we are going to make our Act of Total Consecration to Jesus through Mary.

If we want to gain a plenary indulgence (which I certainly do, because of God's magnificent blessings!), then we should go to confession, and then on Consecration Day we should (1) receive Holy Communion, (2) pray an Our Father and Hail Mary for the Holy Father's intentions, and (3) make our Act of Total Consecration after mass. I already know pretty much exactly where I will be sitting in the church when I recite this prayer.

Also, we need to remember to bring our consecration prayer to mass with us on Consecration Day (unless we prefer to say the prayer at home). Soon, I’ll share a few different consecration prayers with you, and you can choose the one that you like best.

On the other hand, if you choose not to gain a plenary indulgence, then you still need to think about where and when you will recite the consecration prayer. Perhaps it will be in front of a beautiful picture of Our Lord Jesus and/or the Blessed Virgin Mary, and it might even include lighting a candle to help create an ambience of holy reverence. The decision is totally yours.

In order to find the prayers, as well as the links to magnificent sacred art, please do the following items:

Joe
